FAQs

Where is your studio?

GRS Ceramics is in Okotoks Alberta. We currently operate out of the Haven Studio, a small studio in a residential home. The Slug in the Mud Studio will be a community studio opening in 2025, location is yet to be determined.

Do you have open studio membership?

Not yet! The Haven studio is a home studio and does not offer open membership. We do have a Sunday open learning monthly session that may meet your needs. Stay tuned for the Slug in the Mud Community Studio as we will have options for open studio membership there.

How do I sign up?

If you see a class listed, and it does not say sold out, then it is open for you to join! When you select it, it will be added to your cart. Click on the cart at the top right of the screen to proceed to payment. All classes must be paid for at the time of booking.

Do you have a store?

GRS is a small batch potter and we regularly release new pieces for sale. This website will have a store with pieces as they become available. We also sell our work in Okotoks at the Okotoks Art Gallery, at the Hive in Nanton and Claresholm, and at the Lebel and Small Town Collective in Pincher Creek.

Do you offer firing?

We are still setting up but we will offer firing on a case-by-case basis. Our kiln is quite small at Haven Studio. To rent it you must rent the whole kiln. Firing is $50 per load. Slug in the Mud Studio (opening in 2025) will have a firing schedule posted with a bigger kiln

Where are the workshops?

Until we open our new studio, one day workshops will be held at rented locations in Okotoks. When you sign up you will receive the full information to prepare you for the workshop, including the exact Location!

What is your cancellation policy?
